Hey look another video! (Keywords "Prop 8")
We here at The Smart Patrol voted No on 8. And when I say "we" I mean me, because I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who actually voted.
Hey, that's unfair. I totally voted. 7-eleven had some kind of thing where you could vote just by selecting the coffee cup that had your candidate on it. Mostly I was chugging Columbian with Barack but I did have a bitter mug of McCain the weekend before election day (I think it was a sympathy cup more than anything).
All kidding aside, this is a very serious topic and frankly, I've got friends on both sides of the whole thing. I won't bore you with the rhetoric that some of my 'gay homosexual' friends were yammering on about, not that it wasn't valid but... well you know how they go on and on and on and then go off on a tangent about Sex and the City and you're all like "Wait a second how did we get talking about Sex and the City?" and no one remembers what we were talking about and so you just have to laugh. I mean I don't really like the show but I do have to admit that sometimes they are right on, you know what I mean they really GET men, sometimes we are pretty dumb aren't we?
Well anyway one of my friends who was a Yes on 8 voter said that he wasn't against gay marriage so much as he just didn't like the gays and they kind of gave him the heeby-jeebies and he thought they were stinky.
So, it's complicated issue and I don't think we're going to get it figured out any time soon, especially with the holidays right around the corner.

As far as the Prop 8 thing goes, I didn't see where we were supposed to vote on that, I think it was when you bought Hostess Donettes© so just in case I got the powdered ones because someone told me they were gay or something. Actually it's a bit foggy, maybe they were telling me that THEY were gay, not the powdered Donettes... Either way I didn't marry the guy, so no harm done.
