Hello you lucky, lucky reader.
The Smart Patrol is doing a podcast. That's right, go and read that again. OK you're not gonna do it are you? I'll just go ahead and type it again, but bigger.
THE SMART PATROL IS DOING A PODCAST.
Well, actually just the Thursday Knights, the exclusive subset of Smart Patrollers that meet at Justin's on Thursday nights (hence the name). As anything that might come out dreadful is often labeled, the podcast will be experimental, meaning if it blows chunks, we don't have to do it again.
HERE IS WHERE YOU COME IN.
Unless you are one of the active participants, you will be unheard (sorry) but we would love for you to be a part of this. We have lots of semi regular readers that only know us through the site, we'd like to include you in the podcast, please use the comments area to provide any of the following.
1. A name for the podcast (Keep it PG, Jerry).
2. A Question or Topic for discussion (eg. Songs that you would most like to erase from existence, preferably Heavy Metal from the 1980s).
3. Suggestions for content (content being a fancy term to describe what we will be talking about, news, weather, entertainment, sports might not be so good unless its about how the Lakers are fantastic).
4. Poems (to be read in an affected voice thus re-inforcing our 'manly-man' stereotypical fear of openess, honesty and sensitivity).
We are working out some substantial technical issues but hope that after we record the podcast (Thursday May 4th 2006) we'll be able to put it online pretty quickly.
Suggestions should be submitted by 18:00pst on May 4th 2006 right here in the comments section or by sending an e-mail to thesmartpatrol.net [at] gmail.com
Come on, you know you want to...
thePrisoner (going to RadioShack this weekend)
3 comments:
1. Possible names for podcast = "Mr. DNA does not approve of this message." or "thePrisoner, Mr. Kamikaze, Justin and Puma have a podcast." or "The Preston Chronicles." or "Where's Tony?".
2. Topic for 1st show = Who are you, and what do(did) you do for (a) a living, (b) fun, and (c) food tonight?
3. Suggestion for content = Why should we (the possible audience) listen?
4. No poems.
I think that once a week (or every couple of weeks) there should be a segment called "The View Down Below" wherein, Kane (and happily TBass's spawn) would talk about life as 3 year olds, or tell a story, or both (it's hard to tell what's being talked about sometimes).
Just my 2 cents
Hey TBass,
I Don't think it would be much different than the these Thursday Knight guys talking.
