Sure I want to be a secret agent, but...

Roger Alan Giese, bad man.

"...Giese allegedly told the boy that he was a member of a top secret Special Forces unit known as "Delta Force," and was assigned to secret missions all over the world, ... Giese then told the boy that he could also become a member of "Delta Force" if he supplied samples of his bodily fluid."

This dude is on the run after skipping out on $100,000 bail.
It would almost be funny if it were in a movie, but it's not.
It's very real.

"...the boy and his family sued the All-American Boys Chorus for $5 million, contending that he suffered nightmares and agonized over his gullibility at the hands of his voice coach. The suit is pending."

Needless to say if you see the guy at your local Glee Club drop a dime and call the police.

There are some bad people out there. Perhaps they were always out there but now we seem to find out about them (and not keep quiet) more often.

But it makes me sad to be reminded that the bad people are still out there.

Wow, the news actually sticks with that story? I do not believe any part of that story and Delta Force. Here's what really happened.

This boy wanted all the attention in the chorus and wanted to be popular in the chorus. He got his wish as he made every solo, tour selection, and finally part leader. But this didn't come without some under the table cover up.

When Roger Giese saw that this boy wanted it all, he befriended the boy and offered him a proposition. If the boy agreed to do sexual acts with him, he would make sure that everything worked into the boy's favor.

The boy vocally trained with Roger Giese, practically, daily. Once his voice was developed he achieved everything in the chorus. He was selected for every solo, every concert tour, and finally made it to part leader (leader of a singing part) before he retired. It's no secret that Roger Giese made this boy the "Golden Child" in this chorus. Without Roger Giese, there would have been other boys that could have "stole his thunder"; but Roger made sure they didn't.

Now that this boy is out of the chorus he and his family want some money because they always struggled financially.

How do I know all this? I used to carpool with this boy and the mother of the boy befriended my mother and told her I could get selected for tours, solos, and other stuff if I did exactly as she said. My mother got skeptical and the carpooling stopped.

A few weeks later, Roger Giese said something to me about my voice to hurt my self-esteem and make me vulnerable to accept his tutoring. Unfortunately for Roger, my mother told him off and he never approached me again in that manner. He didn't dare mess with me and it showed by how respectful and careful he was in his words towards me. I was member of this chorus from 1996 - 2002 & I know for a fact this is the real story. I don't care what the news says or what the boy or boy's parents say.

God forbid the true story get out in the public though. The choir couldn't let something like this story get out. Let the news say what they want.

I should know... as this was the boy I was competing with during my time in the choir. Am I jealous? nope, not a bit. Just would like the news to stop telling lies and get their stories right.

Yes, the news doesn't know everything but carpooling with someone doesn't qualify you as an insider either. The “truth” you profess is from only one source, your imagination. That boy frequently would ask that someone else be able to sing solos given to him. He did not like the "lime light". His friends meant everything to him. He has not used his voice since leaving the chorus. The only purpose his family had for suing was to create some type of avenue of accountability by the chorus to protect all of the other boys, current and future. The chorus openly allowed "close" relationships between staff and students outside of chorus events. Evil is a mild descriptor for the man who deceived and used this child. To this day there has been no public accountability either by the chorus or the man who took from this boy his innocence, trust in mankind, and belief in himself. Happily, there have been many changes made in the chorus including some safeguards to protect the children. The man has been free from the beginning to teach other children. Many chorus families not only continued to allow their children to take lessons from him but others also provided great financial support for his “unfortunate situation”. Now he is free somewhere in the world to do the same. His ability to deceive is beyond anything even the best fiction writer could imagine.
