Charlie Chaplin Got Married On My Roof

BJ Novak is one of the guys on The Office, he plays the temp who is being forced into a relationship with a co-worker. He has a MySpace page, which is okay becasue he's under 30 (therefore, slightly less creepy). Anyway he had this on his blog the other day and it struck me as both funny and profoundly accurate.

In 1915, Charlie Chaplin won third prize in a Charlie Chaplin look-alike contest.
This anecdote is, of course, very amusing, ironic, and charming.
But imagine if he had won first prize.
Everyone would have said, "What a dick!"
